Responsibilities

• facilitating daily, weekly and monthly events to encourage socialization and recreation for facility residents
• Implementing activities that accomodate those with specialized needs
• Observing residents throughout the event and assisting with coloring, crafts, and other needs
• Reporting medical concerns to supervisors if needed
• Crafting, coloring, decorating, playing games, etc.

Requirements:

• Covid vaccination required
• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior recreation/activities experience in a nursing home preferred
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
• Each position needs some weekend availability
